The QS-220 2.5DOF Pivot Set is designed for sim racers and professional users who want intense, high-end motion sensations in a compact configuration. By pairing QS-220 industrial-grade linear actuators with the dedicated QS-Pivot geometry, it creates a unique "2.5DOF" experience - strong pitch and roll cues with a convincing perception of vertical load transfer, bumps, and chassis movement, all while keeping the overall footprint and complexity lower than a full multi-module actuator build.

QS-220 is the higher-stroke actuator system in the Qubic ecosystem, engineered for demanding applications where motion range and responsiveness matter. With 100 mm stroke actuators, low latency control, and real-time vibration detail, it delivers precise feedback for braking, acceleration, direction changes, curb strikes, and surface texture. Everything is managed through Qubic Manager, using the same game-specific profiles and tuning workflow as larger Qubic System motion cockpits.

Note: "Heave" is simulated as a heave motion pattern combined from the pitch axis.

Pivot Set 2.5 DOF Configuration

QS-Pivot is an innovative accessory designed for users seeking the intense sensations typically found in high-end simulators. When combined with QS-210 or QS-220 actuators, it creates a unique 2.5 DOF* configuration that delivers full immersion in driving simulation.

The Pivot Set is also a smart long-term choice because it is modular. When you are ready to step up, you can replace the pivot by adding two more actuators to reach a full 3DOF configuration, without rebuilding your rig or changing the overall QS platform concept.

Plug & Perform

We’ve equipped our latest power cabinets and actuators with a new generation of connectors. Built with a chrome-plated brass shell and a shielded structure, they offer solid robust protection against electromagnetic interference.

This protects your health and EMC-sensitive equipment because such protection is impossible with plastic connectors massively used in the simracing/simulation market (they are not properly shielded).

What’s more, they’re fully detachable, which makes installation very easy without the need for technical skills and far less time-consuming.

What motion configurations (DOF) can QS-220 support?

Depending on the number of QS-220 modules and the cockpit configuration, QS-220 can be built as 2 / 3 or even 4 / 5 / 6 DOF when working in motion cockpits.

What are the key performance specs of QS-220 actuators?

Actuator stroke is 100 mm (3.93"). Maximum velocity is up to 800 mm/s (Q-Mode on 230V) and the system supports real-time vibrations in the 0–100 Hz range, with latency below 8 ms.

QS-220 is the larger, higher-stroke system (100 mm vs 60 mm on QS-210) designed for bigger motion envelopes and heavier-duty applications. It also supports higher maximum velocity modes (up to 800 mm/s in Q-Mode) and higher recommended payloads in 3DOF configurations compared to QS-210.

What is the Pivot Set?
