QS-MC6 is the core controller set for Qubic System actuator-based motion solutions. It acts as the communication link between your PC and the actuator system, using Motion Systems protocol for stable operation and responsive control. The included MOTION-LOCK switch adds an important safety layer by allowing you to lock motion for safe entry and exit and for emergency situations, depending on how your motion system is wired.

In many complete Qubic System platforms the QS-MC6 set is already included, but there are still common reasons to purchase it separately. It can be used as a spare or replacement in case of damage, as a controller set for a second simulator build, or when you are assembling a system from components where QS-MC6 is not part of the main bundle.

If you only need an additional MOTION-LOCK button in a second location and do not need the controller itself, you can use the standalone MOTION-LOCK Switch (QS-SBML-1) instead. That is often the best option when your goal is simply to add another stop point without buying the full QS-MC6 set.

What is QS-MC6?

QS-MC6 is a set of a Motion Lock switch and a motion controller that acts as the main communication link between a PC and actuator-based QS devices, using Motion Systems’ own protocol for safe, stable, low-latency control.

When do I need to buy QS-MC6?

QS-MC6 needs to be purchased separately for simulator sets based on QS-210, QS-220 or QS-CH2. In general, one QS-MC6 set is needed per single simulator.

Do I need QS-MC6 for QS-BT1 or QS-H13?

No. QS-BT1 and QS-H13 communicate via USB, so there is no need to use QS-MC6 with them.

Do I need QS-MC6 for QS-V20, QS-S25, or QS-S35?

No. Platforms such as QS-V20, QS-S25 and QS-S35 already include the QS-MC6, so there is no need to purchase it separately.

If QS-MC6 is included with most complete platforms, why would I buy it separately?

Common reasons: Replacement/spare unit (hardware can get damaged), you are building a second simulator (one QS-MC6 per simulator). - You want an additional Motion Lock point (e.g., another place to stop/lock motion). If you only need the extra Motion Lock button (not the whole controller set), consider buying the standalone MOTION-LOCK Switch (QS-SBML-1) instead.

It’s a safety component that allows you to instantly stop/lock motion for safer entry/exit and for emergency situations (depending on how your MOTION-LOCK Sub-System is wired).
