The QS-220 Actuator Upgrade Set to 3DOF is designed for customers who already own a QS-220 starter setup and want to expand it into a full 3DOF configuration. By adding another QS-220 motion set, you move from a basic entry layout to a more complete actuator-based motion architecture that delivers stronger cues, higher headroom, and more convincing chassis behavior - especially during weight transfer and cornering transitions.

QS-220 is the larger, higher-stroke actuator system in the Qubic ecosystem, built for demanding sim racing and professional simulation use. With 100 mm stroke actuators, low latency control, and real-time vibration detail, it reproduces road texture and rapid dynamics with exceptional precision. Everything is configured in Qubic Manager, using the same tuning workflow and game-specific profiles as Qubic System motion cockpits.

This upgrade set is intended for users who already have the QS-MC6 motion controller set in their existing build. The new motion set integrates directly into the system without adding extra PC connections in typical multi-module QS-220 configurations - you extend the actuator stack, connect the power cabinet within the system, and configure the new 3DOF profile in software.

Upgrade Set

QS-220 is designed with upgradability in mind – it is possible to expand your Intro set with another 2 actuators and the power cabinet later. For building your extraordinary motion rig you don’t need an extra PC connector, just connect power cabinets directly to each other. Expand your motion form 2DOF to 3DOF configuration. Additional heave axis delivers oversteer and understeer sensation and gives you more realistic and precise driving experiences.

Plug & Perform

We’ve equipped our latest power cabinets and actuators with a new generation of connectors. Built with a chrome-plated brass shell and a shielded structure, they offer solid robust protection against electromagnetic interference.

This protects your health and EMC-sensitive equipment because such protection is impossible with plastic connectors massively used in the simracing/simulation market (they are not properly shielded).

What’s more, they’re fully detachable, which makes installation very easy without the need for technical skills and far less time-consuming.

What motion configurations (DOF) can QS-220 support?

Depending on the number of QS-220 modules and the cockpit configuration, QS-220 can be built as 2, 3 or even 4, 5, 6 DOF when working as motion cockpits.

What are the key performance specs of QS-220 actuators?

Actuator stroke is 100 mm (3.93"). Maximum velocity is up to 800 mm/s (Q-Mode on 230V) and the system supports real-time vibrations in the 0–100 Hz range, with latency below 8 ms.

QS-220 is the larger, higher-stroke system (100 mm vs 60 mm on QS-210) designed for bigger motion envelopes and heavier-duty applications. It also supports higher maximum velocity modes (up to 800 mm/s in Q-Mode) and higher recommended payloads in 3DOF configurations compared to QS-210.
